Years 3 and 4 – British Camp
On Monday Years 3 and 4 headed to the Malvern Hills to explore British Camp. Following a breezy ascent to the summit of British Camp, they all completed an activity book, prepared by Miss Tolladay, which involved them having to use their geographical and historical enquiry skills to locate their answers. During the morning the children had the opportunity to explore the valleys and vantage points as well as identify remnants from the Iron Age through the stone walls and the way in which the hills have been carved.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed exploring British Camp and found it a super way to enhance their learning about Iron Age hill forts.
Reception visit to All Things Wild
To enrich their current topic, Reception class visited the All Things Wild centre in Honeybourne, Worcestershire to take part in a ‘Dinosaur Exploration’ experience. They really enjoyed this trip and saw lots of different animals and dinosaurs and learnt about fossils.
Children in Need
For Children in Need this year we held a Bring and Buy Sale with Year 5 sorting out all the wonderful donations into the different sections, 50p, £1 and £2, dressed in yellow and black and also held a cake sale.
The Bring and Buy sale went really well, raising the grand total of approximately £230.00 and we received donations for wearing yellow and black which raised £190.00, with the cake sale raising £58.71.
This makes our grand total raised for Children in Need £480.71.
Our School Council would like to say a massive thank you to the whole school community for their generous donations, the contributions for the Bring and Buy Sale and all the tasty cakes as well as special thanks to the adults who helped during the sales.
