Upton Upon Severn CofE (VC)
Primary and Pre-School

As the Headteacher in Upton upon Severn Primary School, I work with dedication and passion to ensure that our school provides the best possible foundation for our children’s lifelong learning journey.  Our school is located just near the River Severn and we are able to draw on the spiritual essence that this river gives to our community, providing comfort for all of life’s challenges.

As a Church of England school, our vision is “Anything is Possible, we can all Succeed” and we take pride in our Christian distinctiveness. We ensure that the culture of our school is underpinned by a sense of community, rooted in respect, with the strength to persevere using courage when faced with challenge. Our school values are deeply interwoven through our education focus and curriculum development.

Our new curriculum is designed to offer broad, balanced and engaging learning for our pupils to ensure that over time they can know more, remember more and do more. Our children’s wellbeing is a vital element of our curriculum and we ensure that we have many engaging and vibrant activities that support children’s inquisitive and curious nature. Our Forest School programme starts in Pre-School and runs right through until year 6 and when the children enter year 4, the potential for river use via our bell boating programme is embraced. This focus on outdoor learning ensures children have a holistic base for their educational development and supports a strong community based on a Team approach.

At Upton upon Severn, we see ourselves as a close, supportive team, the best way to see this is through a visit. Click the button below for an interactive tour to see us in action.

I look forward to welcoming you to our community.
